Miniature Cattle Breeder

Named for the creek that runs through the property, Oil Well Branch is a small 40 acre farm, (previously an abandoned tree farm) located in the beautiful rural community of Metcalfe County Kentucky. We are a married couple selling and breeding micro and miniature Highlands and Highland crosses. 

 

Our mini Highland herd was started in January 2026 with bred cows we purchased from "A Peculiar Farm" out of Missouri.  We also purchased "Hurricane" our silver chondro  positive micro/mini Highland bull from A Peculiar Farm.  He currently stands 34" at two years old.  We also have a few other breeds of micro and miniature cows to cross with our Highland bull.  You can learn more about our herd here.

 

Our goal is to breed small, healthy, friendly and socialized mini cows.
